UMC Receives Nadcap Accreditation for Nonconventional Machining

We are proud to announce that UMC has received Nadcap accreditation for nonconventional machining. The scope of the accreditation includes electrical discharge machining, precision electrochemical machining, and laser part marking.

“UMC is only the third, nonconventional machining company in Minnesota to receive this certification,” said Brad Cross, Director of Quality Services at UMC. “The Nadcap accreditation further proves our ongoing commitment to both quality and safety.”

UMC received Nadcap accreditation for demonstrating its ongoing commitment to quality by satisfying customer requirements and industry specifications. Nadcap is an unprecedented cooperative industry effort to improve quality, while reducing costs, for quality assurance throughout the aerospace and defense industries.

“We put in a lot of time and hard work to achieve this accreditation,” said Scott Peterson, Applications Engineer at UMC. It offers us the opportunity to expand our scope of work, both for existing and new customers. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished.”
