Weekend Retention Bonus
$2,500 paid out after each additional year of service on the weekend shift
This program applies to designated direct hire Machinist positions assigned to the weekend shift. The weekend shift is scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 5 a.m. - 5 p.m., for a total of 36 hours scheduled, with the opportunity to cover weekday hours (not guaranteed).
The weekend shift includes a 20% shift pay
Prototype machinists, tool room machinists, set up planners and other production support roles are not eligible for the program.
UMC will consider rehire eligibilty on a case-by-case basis, based on several factors.
UMC will not pay a new hire or 6 month bonus for machinists hired through a third-party staffing firm.
